Stumbled upon this great article this morning on Time.com: . Jamie Wilkinson, a teacher at Parsons The New School for Design in New York has challenged students to become famous (or as the students call it famo) utilizing the internet. The students are judged by how popular or famous they are at terms end utilizing the internet. Students have created blogs, videos, etc. to ultimately become internet famous. Jamie Wilkinson realized that the online virtual world is becoming saturated and students need the skills and the marketing prowess to ultimately succeed online utilizing social and viral internet marketing methods.
Wilkinson was astounded at how the students adapted to drive more traffic to their class blog: even using scantily clad women in videos to drive more traffic to the site. A fascinating experiment.
