While great web design is paramount to a company’s online success, more importantly is the GOAL of the web site. When we first sit down with a client, honestly, we aren’t interested in learning about what web sites they like, and what web designs they think are going to benefit them: We want to know about their business. What are their goals, dreams, aspirations, etc. What does it cost you to create a widget or offer that service, what does your typical prospect or client look like? Demographics? What is important for us to communicate to your clients? Once WE understand the client’s business, we can then translate that to form and function, then and only then is it a good time to discuss what the site will look like.
Again, the whole point or mission of a web site is to clearly communicate with your prospects / customers what you want them to do….Call today, Buy this now, Learn more about us, etc. We find it is always best to look at the end result of the web site before we construct that ever important home page. In the web design / Internet marketing business, our first and primary goal is to ask the right questions and then shut up and listen. If we don’t GET IT, how can we make your site a success?
