Your Default Email Address : Changing Default Settings In Cpanel.

This can get a bit confusing, we'll do our best to explain this in plain English:

A Default setting on any new web hosting account that we create is that the catch all or default email address for the domain becomes the user name we assigned to hosting account when we set it up.

This default setting is not always in your best interest: having a default email address on the account or a catch all can invite all kinds of spam. Spammers will often randomly generate email address at your domain which will get delivered to your master catch all account unless you have chosen the alternative.

Here's the alternative:
Log into your cpanel: (http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel)

Login with the master user name and password.

On Cpanel, within the 'Mail' section you will see an icon that says Default Address. Click this Default Address and you can adjust settings. We recommend setting default address to FAIL. This means that any junk sent to the domain will NOT be delivered and will bounce back to the sender.

Here's the downside: if you are using aliases for email addresses that are not bona-fide email accounts, they will bounce. So, if your contact form goes to info@yourdomain.com and there is NO info account setup, it will not get delivered to you unless you create an info account.
