What is FTP?
FTP stands for file transfer protocol. Geek speak aside, here's what it does.... Web developers use FTP to move files from their local computer to the web server where your web site is being hosted.
How can you get in on the fun?
We could create an FTP account for you to use as file storage. Let's say you wanted to share some photos of your cat Mr. Meow with co-workers: You can upload those files via a web browser or via an FTP program and show of Mr. Meow without having to send via email. FTP'ing is fun and all the cool kids are doing it now. You will need the following to access your web site via ftp: your domain name, your FTP username, your FTP password.
